Gun Fitting
The Gun Fit Company offers gun fitting, coaching and infield tuition. Starting with a 1-to-1 consultation to identify the clients’ issues and objectives. Utilising the newly made Caesar Guerini Invictus Try-Gun, Matt will take the clients dimensions factoring in:
- Gun configuration
- Body shape and dimensions
- Eye dominancy and preferred eye position
- Gun mount
- Chosen discipline
Once the initial analysis and try-gun consultation is complete, Matt moves to the pattern plate to ensure the eye position is correlating with the point of impact. The try-gun is then tested on a variety of clay targets, allowing for any final adjustments to be made.
Whether you are new to shooting or an experienced shot, the gun fitting process caters for all ability. New shooters will benefit from expert guidance and analysis to find the perfect fitting stock, whether this be custom made or altered off the shelf. This will help with reduced recoil, more consistent mounting and better target acquisition. A gun fit for more experienced shooters will highlight areas for improvement with their current fit and help reduce bad habits that have crept in.
Coaching
Matt also offers clay coaching for all abilities. Matt identifies the clients’ objectives and weaknesses and then creates a bespoke coaching plan to specifically target areas to improve. This involves using tried and tested techniques, including focussing on the mental approach to the shot. Having coached for over ten years, Matt understands the importance of flexibility, patience and choosing the most suitable coaching approach for his clients to help achieve their goals and unlock their true potential.
In field coaching
Having initially trained as a Game Keeper, Matt has a passion for game shooting. Utilising a coach in the field will enable a client to get the most out of their day; it will not be full-on tuition, but helpful advice and guidance on the peg. The field is not the place to be learning new techniques and processes, so Matt would always advise booking in for some clay coaching before a game day.
In Field Loading
Matt offers in field loading on single gun and double gun days; however, this will not include in field tuition.
